Good evening doctor, my baby is 5 days old her eyes are yellowish is it something serious please reply thank you

All babies have jaundice however if the yellowness is increasing, or baby is not feeding well or baby is excessively sleepy or if your paediatrician at birth had mentioned baby was at risk of higher jaundice, please do not delay medical review. If the jaundice over eyes and body is high, blood test maybe required. Some babies may need special blue light treatment if levels are too high.
