We will have to identify and treat the underlying cause. If tan STI, is suspected the appropriate antibiotics or antiviral medications may be prescribed. If the cause is trauma or injury, in that case please keep the area clean and dry to promote healing. topical medications like T-bact or Neosporin Oint may help for now to prevent further infection. Take some over the counter oral pain relievers like Combiflam etc make sure it doesn’t get infected .
