Hi, Widal test is positive for typhoid. But widal test is significant only if done after 7 days of fever or showing rising titres. You may get a blood culture done to make a diagnosis of typhoid. If you can share few more clinical details would be able to guide you better. Treatment for enteric fever is for 14 days and drug of choice is Tab. Cefixime 400mg twice daily. You should take complete course of treatment to prevent any recurrence.
