I have white spots on my tonsils but went to the doctor yesterday and it said i didnt have strep Type A during the rapid strep test. Ive had strep type C before so I was thinking that maybe it was that. From last night to this morning my pain has eased and I havent been taking any medications other than a ibuprofen last night. My question is there any way that the white spots on my tonsils arent a bacterial infection and I wont need antibiotics for them?

White spots on tonsils associated with throat pain and difficulty in swallowing is usually because of bacterial infection known as acute tonsillitis.
