Well, White coat hypertension, also known as white coat syndrome is a condition in which a person's blood pressure is consistently elevated in a medical setting, such as a doctor's office or hospital, but normalizes when they are outside of that setting. This may be due to anxiety or stress associated with being in a medical setting, or simply the presence of medical personnel in white coats.
