Is it a type of test? Please explain in detail about get Scan done. I am not very known in medical terminology.

No it is not a type of scan but you need ultrasonography to rule out the pathology.But you didn't mention the type of scan and which part of body like pelvic scan, abdominal scan , breast scan etc.
