What are reason for pain in legs at night

I am having a lot of pain and stiffness in leg. My age is 46 year, and I am a housewife. I have this pain only in night. I do not over exert my self yet the pain. What are the causes of pain in the legs at night?

Pain in legs at night can be due to many reasons like fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome or even arthritis. But stiffness and pain in night can be due to simple hypocalcemia as well. Do you experience any night leg cramps as well. If yes then hypocalcemia or potassium loss can be the culprit. But if it is just pain and stiffness i would recommend you to get one physical examination done so that the exact diagnosis and proper treatment may be initiated.
