Wbc count is too high

11 month Baby post laboratory report found 27300 cells/cumm and c reactive protien 20.2 mg/l. Baby is having fever, cough. Please suggest what will happen if wbc count is too high and what actions shpuld i need to take.

Since the counts are on the higher side, your baby will require antibiotics and the associated management. If the oral intake is good, your doctor may suggest oral medication. If the fever keeps recurring and the oral intake is poor or if the baby is dehydrated, hospitalisation may be required
