I am on Vortioxetine 10mg for past 20 days..It has not made any significant changes in my amxiety and depression..How long should i have to wait to see changes..

Hi.. usually anti depressants start working in 2 wks .. consult your treating psychiatrist for dose adjustments r change in medications.

Try for 10 more days, if it shows no benefit it can be construed as not working and the antidepressant needs to be changed. It is a very new molecule having mild efficacy and less side effects. For many it doesn’t work too. So don’t worry, consult your psychiatrist and get it changed. Good luck

Ideally you have to wait for at least 2 weeks vortioxetine takes slightly lesser time compared to other antidepressants! So wait and follow a healthy routine of exercises and report to your psychiatrist after 2 weeks if still no improvement then you will require a change in medication
