Vomiting from past 3 days

My son is 2.5 year old he is vomiting from past 3 days thrice a day, and today is the third day, he has vomited twice already, i saw on practo regarding a emeset syrup, i have given him 5 ml now. Is this medicine okay for him. How many times i have to give him in a day. Kindly help.
