Vitamin c with iron tablets

I have iron deficiency doctor prescribe me. Dexorange syrup three times but it cause constipation. Then my doctor prescribe nexnuron it also did not help then he suggest nexnuron with vitamin c500 mg it help. I have dexorange syrup. Can it not contain vitamin C. Or I have to take dexorange syrup only once two teaspoon. Or dexorange syrup with vitamin C tablet. Please suggest.
