Vision loss of far objects after surgery

My kid of 10 years had inguinal hernia surgery a week ago and now he is complaining vision loss of far objects, he is not able to read words which are small and at far distance. Near vision is ok. Is it because of his surgery. Can someone please guide.

Does not look related to surgery in all probability .. Could be some glass number ..check with Eye doc
