Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult.
1 st and foremost " PLEASE HAVE FAUTH IN YOUR DOCTOR ". If doctor has slightest doubt of seriousness of baby, he would not discharge you from hospital. Also in medicine we have to correlate everything clinically, and not whole treatment is based solely on investigation. We treat patient not report's. So if baby is playful, having feeds, and has no fever now, DO NIT WORRY. May be you can casually ask one day yo your doctor for what could be the underlying focus of infection. Many times in pediatric patients its difficult to pin point a focus of infection.
