Very little yellow pus coming from wound

2020-04-10 04:42:47
Hi , I have undergone knee replacement one month back and wound has healed. There is a very  little pus coming out from one place..it's yellow in colour. Last week I have already taken the antibiotics ( linid 600 and duonem 200) for 6 days... But still little pus is seen. Should I continue to take the antibiotics? Should I cover my that part of area with gauze pad?

At age of 31 years,  why Knee replacement was done? Are you having any preexisting ailment?

You should continue these antibiotics and in my opinion for another 7-10days(Linezolid 600mg twice a day and duonem 200 twice a day) Keep the area clean with betadine and apply plain gauge dressing. Consult your surgeon asap. And plenty of fluid intake is a must.
Next Steps
once u are done with 7 days antibiotics,  and u don't get to see your surgeon during this time, and u still see puss points, then we need to go for  few tests including blood tests, plus cultures, ultrasonography and xrays. try to contact your surgeon

I think antibiotic needs to be continued and you should consult your doctor as soon as possible.
