usually it is a mesodermal autoimmune disorder. please consult an ophthalmologist and an orthopaedic surgeon. please continue the medicines as per doctors advice. posterior uveitis is vision threatening. and prolonged use of steroids is still  more damaging. so the doctors have establish a lot of equilibrium in the mode of treatment. so be careful and follow doctor's advice.

Uveitis is a recurrent disease and even when its over it can come back again. It is of different types and many are associated with some other joint and autoimmune diseases. So do get urself tested for any associated disease of body and don’t discontinue ur medicines without advice of doctor These medicines/steroids have to tapered(reducing doses gradually) before stopping completely
