  4. UV exposure to newborn. We need to do?

We exposed our newborn ( 0-1 month ) to midday sunlight weekly few days for a months ,initially for jaundice and later continued the same .Later someone told it might affect babies eyes.. currently  worried about same...Any check we need to do?

Mostly during sunlight should not be exposed directly to the eyes You can use eye patches while sun exposure Wait for the age of 3 months If baby is not giving social smile, you can consult to the pediatrics ophthalmologist

Nothing to worry. Pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.  Cover the eyes,during exposure to sun,and uv light.

Every eye, has inbuilt mechanisms to protect them from uv light and sunlight. Nothing to worry, but it's better to cover the babies eyes and genitals, when exposing them to direct mid day sunlight.
