Usage of gliptins

Sir .one diabetologist replaced the sitaglyptin by teneliglyptin for me.How for it is correct.please tell me what is the difference between these two drugs in their action. I am diabetic for the past 20y.Iam 63y old.and taking insulin 50 units per day. Can I start teneliglyptin or what is your opinion. .

Both the drugs have same mechanism of action with minor differences. sitagliptin has a  robust data and is USFDA approved hence costly. Teneligliptin doesn't have that much data isn't FDA approved is at 25% cost of other gliptins.
