I had urine infection and my doctor asked me to do KUB sonography with pre and post void. How is it done and why is it done?

Kidney Ureter and Bladder Scan , thru sonography, is typically done to assess the kidney function and obstruction hence you r asked to do a pre and post void  test. You need to get enough fluid prior to scan and drink plenty of water and don't void for first scan, later post void another scan is done.
