Can I take evafos sachet for urine infection.does that have any side effect.is it effective for mild to moderate infection

Evafos is an antibiotic called fosfomycin. It has gi side effects like diarrhea amongst the common ones. It can be nephrotoxic i.e. toxic to the kidney if used in an inappropriate manner( dosage/ frequency). Not using in proper indications can lead to antibiotic resistance so it would be advisable not to self medicate with this drug and use only under the supervision of a trained personnel.
