It may happen some times after anaesthesia or after taking some drugs.... Sometimes urinary problems due to prostate may aggravate in this condition at this age... Any history of urinary problems before surgery? Get ultrasound kub,  Prostate with PVR  done...  If urinary retention.. go to near by doctor and get urself catheterised.. Share ur reports
