As discussed with some doctors, my mother has lost vision due to side-effects (toxicity) of drugs given to her to cure T.B. As of now, neuro treatment is being given to her, but there is no improvement in the vision, however, some relief there in headover.
Ethambutol given for tuberculosis has led to optic atrophy ,that is why when tuberculosis drug is given ,he or she is asked to get eye checked up every two months for early detection of side effect of ethambutol, once optic atrophy is established ,nothing can be done . You may consult neurologist (DM Neurology) at least once for his opinion.

Well yes due to TB drugs ethambutol ambylopia can happen and also some colour blindness...Since you have started with the treatment I would suggest you to go ahead with it ..But then yes do not stop the TB drugs as it will affect your health...Thank you
