Though Hernia of any region requires Surgical management, it is not an emergency until & unless the hernia content becomes Irreducible or obstructed. Hernia can't be cured with medication.
Next Steps
Attend a General Surgeon near to you for planned surgery.
Health Tips
Avoid strenous job of any kind. Have plenty of fluids & high fibre diet for smooth bowel motion. Use laxatives if you have constipation.

Report s/o hernia, all hernias requires surgery, no medical cure Since you have pain abdomen on and off, you definitely need surgery at the earliest. Now whether to go immediately or few days later depends on several other associated symptoms like vomiting fever constipation and severity of pain abdomen. So contact me for online consultation, will explain in detail.

It’s umbilical hernia of ~1cm, as its on & off pain, better to opt for surgery at earliest. Not an emergency at present but it can be at anytime.
