Sir been taking mesacol od 1.2g for.past 4 yrs How long can i take have low to moderate uc Been on wysolone in first year now now normal for past 3 yrs can the dosage be reduce will cjeck with doc on that But want to have some more opinions if better to continue same dosage or reduce I mean is there any minimum time that i should have it Kindly answer ur answer wil be highly appreciated Thanks dk

There is no minimum time period. It is given to suppress the auto immune system of body to control aggrevation of ibd. It is given till disease aggrevates. There is no permanent cure ti ibd SURGERY can help but it has its disadvantages. But the need of these medicines can be decreased by following the correct diet.
