Tuberculosis medication side effects
I'm taking Tb medication for 3 weeks. I got rashes last night. My doctor said to stop medication till the rashes gone.I want to know if I stop it temporarily the virus can still spread to other. After the rashes gone, my medication will start all over again?
For rashes you may continue tb medicines if they are very less in area and number.. but if rash is very severe, you need to stop as advised.. if you need to stop medicine, you need to restart medicine quickly one after other.. total 4 drugs atleast .. one out of 4 drugs must be causing problem.. you need to omit the last which is not tolerated and replace with another group of drug..
But remember if rash is not very bad, continue same treatment with anti allergic medicines
