Why people are given thyroxin supplements even if their T3 & T4 levels are normal but TSH levels are higher than normal values ?
How can this be considered as a case of HYPOTHYROIDISM?
Technically here the actual thyroid hormones are working fine whilst only TSH is abnormal.
Is there any way to just regulate TSH?

Hi there...diagnosis is done by estimating tsh and t3 and t4 levels...Lower-than-normal T4 levels usually mean you have hypothyroidism. However, some people may have increased TSH levels while having normal T4 levels. This is called subclinical (mild) hypothyroidism. It is believed to be an early stage of hypothyroidism...Consult nearest endocrinologist they will do the needful.
