Transmitted blood

Hello doctor, on oct 15th i have done my c section and during operation i became anemic. so on oct 16th they have transmitted blood to me. on oct 17th and 18th i got severe headache and neck pain. my worry is ...is that blood safe to transmit or does it contain any hiv|aids virus.? first few days do they get any symptoms if they get hiv |aids?

Usually all standerd blood banks or hospitals perform all tests like HIV or Hepetis-B, etc before giving blood for transfusion. Hence you are safe . If at all any problem , the reaction occurs in first few  hours. If  you want to be doubly sure,   get your blood tested for HIV, etcnow.

Headache and neck pain may be due to spinal anaesthesia given at the time of surgery.... take plenty of liquids and coffee...... avoid pillow
