It's  unlikely its a gold tooth, the pain might be due to the crown comming off again and again, u should get a x ray done + examination followed by only crown replacement or root canal treatment.

Goto the nearest dentist for relief. U can use sensodyne, it will help if pai  is due to sensitivity.
