Tooth ache after putting braces

Jay Ramanathan, 14 years old was at the Adyar clinic yesterday for putting braces. Today he feels his teeth is aching, tight. Unable to eat. Please advice.

Usually after putting braces, you would have these problems because your teeth starts moving and would have slight pain, its normal. Give soft food and painkiller prescribed by the Doctor

Buy paracetamol 650 mg 3times a day if you experience severe pain and stop the medication once your pain is over
Health Tips
This pain wouldn't last more than a week. Don't  take any  other medications because the tooth movements would be affected

Toothache is normal after putting braces.  Pain means tooth are moving to desired position.  The pain or discomfort  is temporary
