Toe nail colour change

Respected Sir /Ma'am From September I'm noticing change in. colour of one of my toe nail. Initially it was yellowish now it has become brown. There is no history of itching and pain or any signs of inflammation. No h/o swelling. Sometimes it's just li'l tender on wearing shoes. There was no history of trauma. I consulted doctor for this she prescribed biotin capsules but that didn't help. Kindly help. Thanking you in anticipation for your

It might be due to fungal infection..its better to get it removed n take a course of oral antifungal so that the new nail comes out fine
