Tingling and burning sensation

I am a 42 yr old woman and have been experiencing  low tingling and burning sensation on my upper arms and upper back for a few days. The sensation is there for varying frequencies, sometimes lasting for the entire day. I have also experienced the same on my scalp for a few minutes. The sensation is mild and painless. What is the cause of this?
