of the operatiom has been done less than 6 months ago and aurgeon says that the nerve is intact but vocal.cord ia not functioning...then in such cases you should wait atleast for 1 year for spontaneous recovery there have beem multipme substitue for cartilage thyroplasty like injection of hyaluronidase..it is day care/ office procedure and can be done 9 to 12 monthly once
