Thyroid. TSH level is low

3 months back my TSH was 15.5 i started using thyroxin 150mcg. now my TSH is 0.01. my local doctor told me to stop using medicine your TSH is normal.. Is that a correct option or should I meet endocrinologist? Why my TSH level decreased very low?

Its not right to start medicines based on just a single one-time lab report as the levels keep changing based on the body requirements. Only when the ranges are abnormal constantly after 3-4 checkups, medication is advised for such metabolic problems. Gradually reduce and then stop the medication. Get your TSH checked in between.
