Hi, m planning to conceive... I have tsh 9.38 doctor asked me to take eltroxin 50mcg... Will my tsh come down quickly can I conceive or is there any complications.... Plssssss advice
yes ur thyroid comes under control with Eltroxine 50mcg, try to
reduce weight with regular exercise so u will have good effect.

Repeat your TSH after 6 weeks after starting eltroxin 50mcg.
Before conceiving it is advisable to attend TSH below 2.5 and it required to maintain this level throughout pregnancy.
Thyroid hormones are required for brain development of child so during organogenesis I.e. first three months it is mandatory to keep THE TSH below 2.5
