Hello my wife is 12 week pregnant. Doctor asked us to some blood and urine reports in 6th week. In that they tested for Thyroid test and her result of that are below Free T3 - 6.36 Free T4 - 16.0 T TSH - 2.94 All these are in between range and no need to worry but still doctor prescribed her thyronorm 12.5 mcg(empty stomach) tablet daily once. And she asked us to continue untill you deliver the baby and then after for certain months. So do we really need that? Is there any effect on long term?

TSH at 2.94 Definitely You don't require any treatment at this stage. Please Tell me: 1. Is there an history of Thyroid dysfunction or any thyroid ailment in past 2. Is there any family history of Thyroid disease  3. What is the height weight and age of the patient
