During the first 18 weeks of pregnancy the foetus is dependent on maternal thyroid hormone . If the mother is having hypothyroidism and is on replacement of levothyroxine the Dose of levothyroxine is often increased durning pregnancy . You should have never stopped taking levothyroxine tablets without consulting your doctor.
Next Steps
You should immediately start taking the the levothyroxine tablets the same dose . Since you stopped it during 5th month There is no need to worry much as by then the Foetus starts making it’s own thyroid hormone . But this should Not be done next time .

You should not stop thyroid medicine, please do a thyroid profile as early as possible, and start the medicine. Please consult a general physician with the reports.
