Green / yellow mucus coming from throat after cold this month. Regular cold and had enlarged tonsils.

Hello... This may be due to a viral/bacterial infection or due to the poor AQI leading to allergic reaction. Wear a mask and change regularly while going outdoors.

Antibiotics (as per physician) • Anti-inflammatory medications • Gargling with warm salt water • Adequate hydration • Rest • Treat nasal allergies or sinusitis if present Long-term management • Evaluate for tonsillectomy if: • ≥ 7 infections in 1 year • ≥ 5 infections per year for 2 years • ≥ 3 infections per year for 3 years • Recurrent pus points / cryptic tonsils • Snoring, sleep apnea, mouth breathing • Enlarged tonsils causing difficulty swallowing
