Thorn inside the skin

I went for trek where a thorn of some plant punched in my hand. I couldn't pull it out. Since then that place has become black rounded one. I have some pain not much. I saw a doctor he said nothing will happen and it will come out automatically with pass. But it's been almost 2 weeks and nothing is happening. I need some guidance.
