14 year boy was diagnosed for testicle torsion on the right side. Boy has undergone surgery for de-torsion and successfully de-torsioned. As there was enough blood flow the torsioned testicle is left intact and preserved after the surgical procedure with a hope that it will recover to normalcy. But after 3 months, the Utla sound scan revealed a significant shrinkage of the de-torsioned testicle to 1/4 that of the original size. Now can we leave the affected testicle in its place in its reduced in size ? OR needs to be operated and removed is the Question. The Left testicle is in perfect condition and is showing normal size and texture with no anomalies.
