ARB (tazloc-H) to a

A quick remedy would be to increase the salt intake in her diet. But that may increase her BP, so this is a challenge.
A good idea is to have her
kidney function checked by testing her BUN and
creatinine levels.
Therefore in order to control her BP, it may be a good idea to switch to another BP med. Here are some choices:
HCTZ 12.5 to 50 mg orally once daily, OR
Benazepril 10-40 mg orally once daily (Diabetic patient, inc MAU), OR
Metoprolol 50 mg orally (regular-release) twice daily (if HR is high), OR
Amlodipine 2.5 mg PO QD (older patient, PVD, CAD).
