Swollen white/yellow tonsils

A few days ago I was eating some food and after a few bites I began to feel an almost swelling situation near the right side of my uvula and just that general area. I go and check and notice that area is a darker red than the rest of my throat. This feeling persist but doesn't spread. Few days later my tonsils are swollen with white/yellow areas.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. This means your tonsils are infected. There may or may not be pus (cannot say without Examining). You can do warm salt water gargles .
