Gynecomastia is an enlargement or swelling of breast tissue in males. It is most commonly caused by male estrogen levels that are too high or are out of balance with
testosterone levels. While some non-surgical treatments for gynecomastia are helpful, surgery is often the only way to correct gynecomastia. Gynecomastia surgery offers certain, immediate, and permanent elimination of excess breast tissue and fat and improvement of the appearance of the chest. But Gynecomastia caused by hormone changes during puberty is relatively common. In most cases, the swollen breast tissue will go away without treatment within six months to two years. Consult a Dermatologist and Endocrinologist for the same.
