Swelling on multiple fingers near nails

My mother is 50 years in age. She frequently has this swelling on her multiple fingers beside her nail(pictures attached). Symptoms:- 1. Swelling beside finger and pus gets filled and it pains. 2. Swelling usually develops into infection when comes in contact with soap/detergent . 3. When detergent is not used infection is cured but swelling is there for long period of time. 4. This is occurring from past 6 months.

She is suffering from chronic paronychia. Fungal infection might be associated with it.
