Hi my father whose age is 58 years went for a long trip for about a week ,but after coming back there is a swelling in right leg only but normal in left leg ,With redness around that along with pain ,He is a diabetic patient

Patient needs to be examined. Control diabetes He is possibly having some infective process  in the leg. He will possibly need a course of antibiotics. Kindly don't ignore.

This can be caused due to elevated sugars or inflammatory conditions like cellulitis kindly get it examined physically
