Swelling, infection & pain on leg thumb

My daughter has problem on leg thumb due to nail cutting and she has been facing problem since one month. We have been advised to give medicine of 'Amoxicillin & potassium clavulanate' tablet 500+125 mg. and put soframycin plus septran on leg thumb. Please suggest. Attached please find the current picture of leg thumb.

This is ingrowing toe nail Needs small surgery for correction
