My mother had bacterial function and suffered from fever and foot swelling she got cured but she has painless swelling.Also after long time travel , her foot gets swollen.she has diabetes and she has to be on strict diet to keep sugar under control

Hello...... Her kidney function test has to be done..  Derangement of liver and kidney function  can lead to edema of food..  Even prolonged sitting or standing leads to edema but it will  subside in one or two days..  If it doesn't subside consult general physician in nearest hospital..
