Surgery work for LPR ???
Hi dear doctor
I m sufring with LPRD reflux past 8 months on and off i feel like something stucked in Thorat at the left side now i feel like cough stucked pricking in left side of throat even i got small bump last nyt i ate very spicy green chilli but it reduced now i have dry throat i cnt speak too much it makes Thorat very dry and tired. I went to ENT specialist i m going to him past 3 months (4 times ) he gave me medicines PPI
I took them i felt better but still not fine 100%
I feel like this problem will never solve or convert into severe problem . I neef some hope ..any cure for this ? I following all the diet but does surgery can help? And surgery is major or minor?

Laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD) or Extraesophageal reflux disease (EERD) there is reverse flow of gastric ocntents into the upper air and digestive tract causing symptoms, such as cough, hoarseness, and wheezing.
Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI) is one of the standard treatment for LPRD alongwith lifestyle changes and changing dietary habits.
Patients who do not respond to medicines can undergo Surgical procedure - Laproscopic Fundoplication. It is a very routinely done surgey.
