I underwent surgery-Proctectomy+IPAA+covering loop Ileostomy on 01st November 2019...I have a midline incision with 32 clips and 2 wound drains..I also underwent sub total colectomy 7 months back in which I had midline incision(Actually the cut has been made on same incision,this time a bit longer)My question is what precautions should I take?

I would suggest you to keep a pillow underneath your knees while lying on your back, that will help you relax Ur lower back muscles and reduce the stress on your sutures. Remember after your wound is dried and healed well, u must mobilize/release the scar so that it doesn't get stuck to the underlying tissues beneath. Of course support Ur wound for a couple of days while coughing/sneezing..

Keep wound dry. Mild exercises. Hold incisions with palm while moving around. Follow all d post op instructions given by surgon nd physiotherapist...
