Suitable Room temperature for baby
Hi,
We live in Uttar Pradesh, where currently temperature reaches upto 42 degree.
Currently we are not using AC. And only using ceiling fan. We are concerned about the suitable room temperature for her. On internet, we read it about 22 degree. Can you please suggest the suitable room temperature for baby of 1 week old.
You can most definitely use an air conditioner and mantain the room at a temperature comfortable for the adults (22-24 is fine). you must ensure that baby remains warm and comfortable by using mittens socks and blankets. At all times (when ac is on) baby's hands and feet must feel as warm as her tummy. This means she is adequately clothed. If her hands and feet are colder than her tummy ( after using warm clothes) , that means she needs to be covered more or the room temperature needs to be increased
