Hello doctors, I have a quick question. My father age is 64 and he has been suffering with type 2 diabetes from the past 10 years. He is using oral tablets and but his diabetes is still in the range of 300-350 post food. I have taken him to doctor in Bangalore which suggested insulin but my dad is afraid and still wants to use oral tablets only. My question is, what is the solution here? How can I help him to control diabetes without insulin? Is there any latest medication available right now? Your answers would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check his C peptide levels If it’s low it means his body isn’t producing enough insulin on it’s own then he will need to go on insulin therapy For more you can always connect
