Sugar is low

Hi My father's fasting blood sugar value is 70.5 and post prandial is 96.2. Glycosylated hemoglobin 5.8, mean plasma glucose 119.8 Medicine being taken by him - eternex m 1000 (salt metformin 1000 + teniligliptin 20) once a day, since 1.5 yrs. Having sugar since last 30 years. Age 69. He is having BP as well since last 35 years. Medicine taking - tg tor 10, atten d once a day. Please confirm if this is the right medicine for sugar and how to make these values of sugar normal.

Any  blood sugar below  70mg/dl is  considered  as  low  sugar  or  hypoglycemia. This is as  dangerous  as high  sugar. This can  lead to  brain  dead  state  or  heart  problem. His  tablets  have to be  reduced  to  maintain  sugar  above  100mg/dl.

Immediately  give  him  sugar  or  sweet  food  items to  prevent  further  reduction in  sugar.

If  possible  avoid  tonight  dose to  avoid  low  sugar  at  night.
